Rehabilitation Methods for Leaked Oil Pipeline Caused by Human Destruction

  • The leak of long distance pipelines induced by human destruction is a malignant accident happened in recent years, which results in tremendous economy loss to the oil transportation enterprises. To ensure operation safety of oil pipeline and cut down the leak loss to the maximum, it is very necessary and important for oil transportation enterprises to do the rehabilitation work in time. In this paper, the authors analyze the leak causes and leak accident categories, describe the rehabilitation methods, countermeasures and maintenance procedure for the leaked oil pipelines. It is pointed out that rehabilitation methods to be used should be determined on the basis of leak accident's category on site and the dangerous source must be un der control to ensure personal safety during rehabilitation work.
