Abstract

The working principle of heat pipe and its application in firetube heater are introduced. The energy consumption measurement and comparison on the operation conditions of ^#211-1 and ^#211-3 firetube heaters with heat pipe and without heat pipe have been carried out. The measurement and comparison results have shown that the heat efficiency of firetube operated with heat pipe increases up to 23%.
