Abstract
The amount of gas for consumers is extremely variable along the natural gas pipeline network. Therefore, non-equality for gas transmission will present in the network, especially when natural gas is used as a fuel of the peak shaving power plant. With the technology of pipeline gas storage to resolve the contradiction of gas supply and demand as well as to safely and steadily supply gas to consumers, the method of transient dynamic simulation calculation of pipeline can be used to improve and optimize the pipeline network design. Dynamic simulating is used to expound the operating parameters of gas pipeline network by mathematical analysis method based on the principle of fluid mechanics to improve and optimize pipeline network design. Take a project design as an example, based on modulating and analyzing its calculated results, the amount of gas storage of pipeline network has been checked up. It is pointed out that the dynamic simulation calculation will play a decisive role in the design of gas pipeline network with the function of gas storage and peak shaving.
