Seeping Protection Method for Buried Tank

  • Five 25 m buried horizontal tanks, located at Tuotuo River fuelling station and 0.5 m beneath the ground surface, were often submerged in water (rain water and river water) because the location of fuelling station was below the water level. With the entrance of the water into tanks and freezing at the bottom of tanks, several problems like welded seam cracking on tanks body and pipes, sealing failure at flanges and so on produced. Thus, the refuelers did not work. To solve the problems, a technological modification program was worked out and rehabilitation was successfully conducted. The hoped-for results were obtained.
