The Transportation Technology of Rich Gas Pipelining

  • On the basis of analyzing rich gas component, it is pointed out that the transportation technology of rich gas differs from conventional gas pipelining, but needs higher transportation pressure. High pressure and component of rich gas needs higher toughness for the pipe material. On the transportation technology of rich gas, NGL processing plant is generally located at the terminal of pipeline or some intermediate location of pipeline. This can increase the throughput efficiency of pipeline for the rich gas with gross heating value under high pressure operation, and on the other hand, the lower compressor power can optimize the design, reduce fuel consumption and save the transportation cost; meanwhile, it is positive to market.
