The Construction of Aquifer Underground Gas Storage Reservior and Numerial Modeling Research

This paper gives a discussion to the necessity of constructing underground gas storage reservoir (UGSR)combined with the development of natural gas industry of China and the execution of "Western gas to the east", and makes brief introduction of situation of the world aquifer UGSR. The functions of aquifer UGSR, its planning principles, site selecting factors of UGSR are described. Problems such as allowable minimum pressure (AMP), cushion gas locations of gas pouring/drawing wells, test pouring operation and interaction between aquifer UGSR and adjacent formation environment are presented. The four subjects of aquifer UGSR numerical modeling are proposed.
