The Technological Features of Alliance Pipeline

The Alliance pipeline that is being jointely constructed by U. S. A. and Canada is the first large diameter pipeline to deliver condensate-bearing gas in the world, the authors consider that the construction experience of the pipeline will be very helpful to China's Western gas transmission pipelines. The paper summarizes the technological features of Alliance pipeline in the transfer pressure, power determination of compressor station, pipe material, corrosion control, compressor as well as pipeline construction, commissioning and operation.
