Failure Analysis on Vapour Wax-removal Loop-pipe of Floating Roof Tank

The weld defects and thermal stress result in failure of vapour wax-removal loop-pipe used in floating roof tank. In this paper, the improvement measures are presented, that is, during the construction, necessary to carefully inspect welding bead, correct design data and thermal expansion of the loop-pipe, test on vapour expansion and hydrostatic test.
