The Relationship between Yield Stress and Structural Parameter of Gelled Crude Oil

  • Waxy crude oil will statically gel at low temperatures. The yield stress τy of gelled crude oil is dependent on its structure, and this structural properties can be represented with complex modulus |G*|. The relationship between yield stress and structural parameter of three kinds of gelled crude oil has been studied experimentally by means of rheometer RC 75. Experiment results display that the relationship between τy and|G*| is τy=β|G*|m at definite condition of experiment.
