Study on the Heat Transfer Characteristic of Offshore Insulated Pipeline

Abstract
The terminal conductivity factor of insulated material is measured by transients state. The results have showed that the material's construction will contract and the factor will increase as time goes on. The calculation formula of equivalent conductivity factor in free convection on annular space is determined. The simulation indicates that the influnce of equivalent thermal conductivity factor of soil on the total heat transfer coefficient is small. The formula of total heat transfer coefficient of offshore insulated pipeline is summed up.
