A Study on Calculating Methods for Slug Flow Parameters in Hilly Multi-phase Pipe Flow

  • Slug flow is one of the most common flow patterns in a hilly multiphase pipe flow. Empirical or semi-empirical correlations are adopted to calculate slug flow parameters. According to field experiments, slug flow parameters depend on pipe diameter, velocity and viscosity of gas or liquid phase and so on. In this paper, a series of methods are studied and proved to good agreement with field experimental data.
