The Property of Dimethyl Disulfide(DMDS)and Its Regeneration Test

In the light of the serious corrosion of crude oil pipeline caused by sulfur, a sulfur solvent manufactured by dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) has been developed.This kind of solvent can effectively remove sulfur contained in crude oil.The property and feature of DMDS and its regeneration method have been evaluated and studied.The test results show that the sulfur solvent that takes DMDS as major solvent dissolves sulfur with fast-speed at low temperature, and is an effective solvent to remove sulfur of crude oil and can effectively control the corrosion of crude oil pipeline.
