Abstract:
According to the risk characteristics of liquid hydrocarbon tankfarms, CFD technology (Computational Fluid Dynamics) was used for consequence simulation analysis of liquid hydrocarbon tank leakage and explosion. A method to analyze an accident consequence from leakage, diffusion to explosion was established and applied on a real spherical tankfarm. Results indicated that this method allowed for the developing trend and law of overpressure at each location of the space after explosion, and offset the traditional methods in the prediction of near-field overpressure, and realized the display of 3-dimension explosive blast in real time, which is more intuitive and reliable than the traditional methods and more suitable for liquid hydrocarbon tankfarms.
