Abstract: The tight line transportation technology of oil pipeline must rely on reliable safety and protection means. The paper describes the principle of multi-protection means in safe operation of the pipeline. In the light of features of Qinhuangdao-Beijing Oil Pipeline, 5 protection measures to water hammer with 4 systems to the pipeline used tight line transportation technology are reviewed. Some safety measures to the whole line are presented.
