Abstract: The paper analyzes the reason and course of self-ignition of coker gasoline tank, describes the general theory of self-ignition phenominon, puts forward the countermeasures against the self-ignition of gasoline tank, including filling hydrogen upwards the space oi pontoon roof to decrease the oxygen content, and adopting thermal spray zinc-aluminum coating to prevent the tank body from reacting with oxygen and H₂S to protect the coker gasoline tank from self-ignition.
