Abstract: This paper reviews various treatments of physical models, computational methods, experimental studies as well as practical application in the aseismic research of liquid storage tanks with emphasis on the evaluation of the foreign achievements. The domestic developments obtained in the last 20 years are summarized and some further research needs are also pointed out.
