Abstract: The tight line pumping at ordinary temperature method and SCADA-system have been adopted in Korla-Shanshan oil pipeline. In this paper, the structure of RZD-RMBX pressure release valve (introduced from Netherland), operational principle and characteristics are introduced, in detail. This kind of valve is first used in such a pipeline that locates in the region with biggist drop(1 660 m in 115 km). More than one year's application shows that the operation of this kind of valve is safe and effective.
