Abstract: The operating status quo of the computer controlling systems adopted in most of heaters of pipeline system is analyzed. The result shows that there are many problems existed in the application of computer, such as high failure rate, poor effect in real-time control, high cost in maintenance and so on. Therefore, a practical design method of programmable logical controller for heater controlling system has been developed, and this method is effective to solve above problems.
