Abstract: The paper analyzes the status quo of viscous crude transportation in oilfield, proposes the feasibility of ultrasonic application in viscous crude transportation, introduces in details the cavita-tion and emulsification functions of ultrasonic in viscosity reduction, and analyzes the mechanism of ultrasonic's function. The effect of viscosity reduction has been proven through tests.
