Abstract: A viewpoint that the developing opportunity of the oil and gas storage and transportation subject in China will be coming is discussed by analyzing the historical background and developing trend of the oil and gas storage and transportation subject as well as the competing situations in internal and external production and consumption of oil/gas in this paper. Some suggestions to quicken pace in the development of the oil and gas storage and transportation subject are put forward according to the present situation of China's oil and gas storage and transportation subject and the developing direction of the oil and gas storage and transportation utilities. Meanwhile, some main research subjects that will be concerned in the near future are summarized, and the primary train of thought to reform the oil and gas storage and transportation subject is shown in the paper.
