Abstract:
The pipe-floating method used to cross the North Jumahe River proved to be completely successful in ShannJing Gas Transmission Pipeline. It is pointed out that this method can be selected under the specific hydrogeologic conditions. The paper introduces in details the execution method, procedure and concrete operation of the pipe-floating river crossing construction. This method can shorten the crossing period and reduce costs. It is suggested that the method should be selected prior to the high underground water level and pebble-riverbed with high water permeability.
