Effect of fire wall and water drainage in oil tank farm on fire fighting safety

  • 摘要: 具有隔油阻火作用的防火堤过高会影响灭火操作, 而土质防火堤不易保持完整, 且占地面积较大; 当防火堤仅能承受所容纳油品的静压力时, 可能会受到油品冲击力的破坏; 用活动金属挡板及水封井附加控制阀门封闭油罐组排水沟的方法既不可靠又会使流淌火面积扩大。针对油罐组防火堤高度、建造材料、强度和闭合性等方面的问题, 提出了改进意见和相应的措施。

     

    Abstract: Fire wall has the function of oil isolation and fire blocking. But it will affect fire fighting operation if it builds too high, furthermore, soil fire wall can't be kept integrate and will occupies larger area of land. If the fire wall can only stand with a static pressure from the oil contained, it will probably be damaged by the shock of the oil. The method using movable metal baffle and control valve near water sealed well to block the drain of oil tank group is unreliable and it will widen flowing fire area. The article gives an improving commendation and relative measure according to the problem of height, building material, strength and closure of the fire wall for oil tank group.
