Abstract: The paper introduces the safety measures, the "strength safety guarantee" taken in the construction of ShanJing gas transmission pipeline. The safety measures include careful and comprehensive work preparations before the construction, taking the "strength safety guarantee" as the kernel of pipeline design, adopting quality materials and advanced equipments, working according to the international standards and codes as well regulations concerned and overall managing with new systems in the construction. The paper evaluates the safety measures adopted in the construction of ShanJing gas transmission pipeline, and points out that overall and careful work must be made in carrying out the 'strength safety guarantee' during the construction of the gas pipeline, so that the good construction quality and a long safe service of the pipeline can be guaranteed.
