Abstract: At present, some technical terms to evaluate and determine the performances of metering instruments greatly differs in the some state standards, codes, regulations as well as proceedings. Based on the analysis of a great deal of metering standards and literatures at home and abroad, the author points out that the terms should be further weighed, analyzed and standardized, and advises the department concerned of China National Technology Supervision Bureau to give exact or precise and consistent technical terms, conceptions and definitions on working out and revising the state standards, codes and regulations to avoid conflict among them.
