Abstract:
The flowing of high viscous crude oil (special for treated crude) is closely correlated to its heating history and shearing history, in use of pipeline transportation pour point, rheologic curve, yield stress are the parameters to figure low temperature flow, key factors to affect on safety and economy of pipeline transportation. The paper analyses and discusses several topics of how to measure the parameters, employ the results in pipeline transportation, mainly involving observation of liquid level shear disturbance in pour point measurement, pour point measurement of stratified crude, effect of shear rate up running and down running on balanced rheologic curve, flowing measurement of water content crude oil, yield stress of crude oil and its methods of flowing measurement and pipeline transportation application, etc, meanwhile showing that it is necessary closely to correate flowing measurement for data supply to simulated conditions of pipeline transportation.
