A Perspective on the Ultrasonic Level Measurement Technology for Oil Tank

  • 摘要: 油罐液位测量是炼油厂、油库、加油站等部门的一项重要工作,超声波测量液位技术是近年来开发的一项新技术。该项技术用于油罐液位测量具有广泛的适用性、较高的可靠性、良好的性能/价格比,其缺点是精度低。提高超声波测量油罐液位技术的精度可通过采取改进测量方法、减少二次仪表误差等措施实现。同时,还要提高装置的智能化程度和加强超声波在石油产品中传播机理的研究,确定超声波传播速度与油品密度、温度、压力及油品性质的关系,建立切实可行的校正公式,以利于该技术在油罐液位测量中推广应用。

     

    Abstract: The tank level measurement is an important daily service in refineries, tank farms and fuelling stations. The ultrasonic level measurement technology is a new technique developed in recent years, which is used to measure tank level and has a wide applicability, a high reliability and a sound performance/price ratio, but its shortcoming is low accuracy. Improving measurement way and reducing secondary instrument's errors can increase the accuracy of this technology. At the same time, the more work also to do for applying this technology to the tank level measurement are raising the intellectulization level for the ultrasonic measurement system, making a further study on the ultrasonic propagation mechanism for petroleum product, determining the relationships of ultrasonic propagation velocity with petroleum product density temperature, pressure and petroleum product characteristics as well as establishing a practical corrective equation.
