Abstract: In the construstion of long-distance pipeline, bends are better constructional formation for horizontal turn or vertical slope turn of pipeline. Corrosion protection for cold bended pipes is a critical problem. The cold bending test process and result carried out recently from two or three (multiple) layers coated pipes provide important evidence for future wide application of cold bends in pipeline construction. This kind of cold bends has been already used domestically in gas pipeline and slurry pipeline constructions, which has broken new record on cold bending technology for two or three layers coated pipeline and cut down on cost of pipeline building and has improved quality of pipeline construction.
