Abstract: There exist certain differences between Chinese and foreign hydrostatic testing techniques for pipeline systems, including measuring method, test procedure, test items, criteria and standards. The hydrostatic testing techniques and test procedures commonly practiced by foreign pipeline engineers are introduced on the basis of the Tunisian Gas Pipeline Project, with useful information provided for Chinese pipeliners.
