Control of Corrosion in the Rim Plates of Bulk Storage Tank with Circular Beam Foundalion

  • 摘要: 分析了沧州首站8#20 000 m3浮顶油罐边缘板严重腐蚀的具体情况,产生腐蚀的主要原因是,边缘板与基础间的缝隙进水后,缝隙开口较小,水分不易挥发, 形成了边缘板与基础的腐蚀环境在较长时间内存在。讨论了目前流行的封闭式防水措施的弊端, 提出了几种开放式防水结构,通过优选分析,最终选择了“切削环梁外露角,于边缘板外下沿焊一圈圆钢”的结构,结合8#罐的特点,将此防水结构与阴极保护法进行了对比,进一步得出前者具有施工简便、适应性强、效果显著等优点,而后者不仅投资大,而且用在8#罐上效果较差。

     

    Abstract: The actual corrosion status is analyzed of the rim plate of the No. 8 floating roof tank of 20, 000 m2 in Cangzhou Initial Station. The main reason for the corrosion is the corrosive envirenment. This environment is caused by the water which has entered and failed to volatilize out of the narrow clearance between the rim plate and tank foundation. The drawbacks of conventional water proof measures closed type are discussed, and the open water proof structure introduced. According to optimum seeking, it is pointed out to cut away the exposed edge of circular beam and weld a steel ring onto the down side of rim plate. Through comparing this structure with cathodic protection, its conciuded that the former is characterised by quick and simple construotion, high adaptability, and good performance, while the later by high cost and poor performance for the No. 8 tank.
