Abstract: Described in the paper are tank foundation and base specification stipulated in the Collection of Codes for Fire Protection (issued in Japan) as well as the gist, revision background, the requirements for foundation stability and the condition on which the natural foundation is unnecessary to be improved and the standards which.the improved foundation (if improvements is necessary) is supposed to reach; requirements for calculation foundation settlement quantity; the requirements for reinforced concrete rings or rubble rings based on foundation type classification, requirements for the materials and their incorruptibility, structure, surface planeness, etc. The following can also be found in the paper : foundation design calculation content, method and equation as well.
