Improvement of Conventional AC 4 Pole Method for Measuring High Resistivity Soil

  • 摘要: 由于现有的交流四极法仪表难以在高电阻率土壤中进行测量,为此,提出了两种扩大四极法测量电阻率范围的方法,即极距调整法和并联电阻法。极距调整法是采用不等的电极间距,以改变电阻表的测量范围。并联电阻法是在电流电极之间或电位电极之间并联一个已知阻值的电阻,以提高ZC-8表测量高电阻率的范围。分别推导了它们的计算公式,讨论了并联电阻法r值的确定、对测量计算值的影响和R0的选用原则及其实际应用。改进后的交流四极法在新疆塔里木油田土壤腐蚀调查中,解决了对土壤高电阻率测量用常规的四极法根本无法测定的难题。

     

    Abstract: Since it is hard for the available gauge of AC 4 Pole Method to measure the soil of high resistivity, two methods of expanding the measuring range are set forth in the paper, namely, Pole-Distance (PD) regulating and Parallel Resistance (PR) regulating. PD regulating is a method of adopting different pole destances in order to change the measuring range of resistivity instrument. PR is to parallel a known value resistor between current and pole or between potential and pole so as to help ZC-8 instrument to enlarge its measuring range of high resistivity. Formulas for both methods have been worked out with the discussion of PR's r value definition and the influence on measuring the calculated value as well as the principle of selecting R0 and its practical application. The improved AC 4 Pole Method can help solve the problem that the conventional one couldn't, which was improved during the investigation of soil corrosion in Tarim Oil Field, Xinjiang.
