Abstract: It is possible to optimizo the configuration of a crude ail loading terminal by using various random and fixed parameters for representation of the total system and optimising all parameters. The paper introduces the optimization criteria and puts forward the concept of relative cost. It is asid that the minimum rolative eont represents the optimizing ralue. For batching operational sequonce, the paper presents the optimum tank distribution and the optimam cycle time of batchingoperation.
