Abstract: Based on the contacting theory of elastic mechanics, the paper applies the mixed method of finite element to the structrural stress of quick-open blind used in oil pipeline for preliminary analysis. Thus, the contacting stress around raised blind, depressed clamp and cylinder flange have been obtained and the patterns of distributed stress on its contacting and concentrating area have been drawn by utilizing symmetry stress line chart. At the same time, it has made an evaluation on the safety of blind, clamp and cylinder and has made a preliminary opinion on the slotting position of sealing ring as well.
