Abstract: In recent years, some foreign countries have adopted the soft oil container for storaging petroleum and oil products under water and have been succeeded. The paper introduces the specific advantage and the structural patterns of such soft oil container, and the roles of those structural composing parts as well. It also: points out that China has the materials and the technique for manufacturing the soft oil container and has capability for developing the storage system of the soft oil container under water, which is suitable for our usage.
