Abstract: In the construction of long distance pipeline in western China, there will be such difficulties as complicated terrain along the right of way, harsh climate and giant project etc. thus, the author points out that the project shall be divided into sections and periods for constrution and that the supply of equipments and parts and the inspection of pipe quality shall be controlled based on the construction technique and the experience of Huatugou—Germu Oil Pipeline. The construction method and the technical requirement have been talked about too in the paper.
