Abstract: For buried metal pipeline which has cathodic protection, the protective effect would not be brought into play if the electrical insulation is not in good condition. The paper basically introduces the several standard forms of present pipeline insulation connecting technology in foreign countries and some monitoring methods of insulation property. These may be studied and referenced for the concerned departments.
