Abstract: Pipelines have to be laid in order to ehploit offshore natural gas resources. For enormous and complex gas pipeline engineering, the elctronic computer techigue must be used for its design construction, control, management and automatie equipment. This article deals with the calculation by computers in the way of making out the natural gas resources exploiting plan, ges distribution plan, capital and gas price evaluation, etc. In addition, there is mentioned in the article the application of ccmputers to pipeline route selection, gas resources quality control and regulation, trunk line management and control; and the control of the sub-line systems in medium and small urban areas.
