Abstract: Reviewing the lighning arresting measures taken in general both at home and abroad, the author, based on investigation of quite a few tanks hit by lightning, presents the measures to pretect tanks against lightining and explains the reason why both stationary and floating vault tanks can do without a lightning arrester, which is of greater value for reference.
