Abstract: The temperature change and solidfing process of crude oil in pipelines upon shutting down is important sudject in actual pipelining practice. The article deals with calculation of temperature aud phase change by using finite differentiation. Various calculating methods and treatments of boundary condition are introduced as well in numerical solution.
