Abstract: The insulating resistance on the coating surface of buried pipelines is a very important parameter which is directly concerned with the cathode protection effect. The article presents a method tomeasure the insulating resistance on the coating surtace by means of measuring the pipeline earth resistance, which is simple in operation and reliable in data, easy to be put into practice, even more desirable for not too long a pipeline section.
