Abstract:
Dry gas pipeline internal corrosion direct assessment method(DG-ICDA) is a commonly used foreign long-distance natural gas pipeline integrity assessment method, but is not yet used in engineering practice at home. This paper introduces the application scope and implementation steps of the method and analyzes the unsatisfactory application for the method specified in NACE SP 0206. The proper field application of the method is given based on a case study. It is pointed out that the method should be combined with the pipeline risk assessment. Van der Waals equation should be adopted as far as possible when calculating the critical inclination of pipeline, and meanwhile the daily critical inclination of pipeline for the moisture accumulation should be calculated according to everyday process parameters. It is recommended that further to research and apply the method is necessary to improve the preventive management and maintenance for the internal corrosion of pipeline
