Abstract:
For improving the scientific application for the acoustic emission technique in inspection of storage tank floor, this paper analyzes some important influencing factors in in-service inspection and proposes a new data acquisition method for tank floor corrosion based on the achievements in theory research and practice application on this technique, and meanwhile puts forward effective countermeasures. It is considered that the new method can increase the effectiveness in data acquisition and provide a capacity to subsequent analysis and process. According to the inspection experiences and comparison data in common inspection of tank at home and abroad, reliability of the technique in inspection and evaluation on tank floor is analyzed. Results show that the acoustic emission technique is more effective for slight corrosion and serious corrosion of tank floor, however it is less effective for medium-state corrosion.
