Abstract:
Organic liquid hydrogen storage technology is to store hydrogen in the form of compounds, avoiding the harsh conditions such as high pressure and low temperature required for physical storage and transportation of hydrogen energy. The technology has the advantages of high hydrogen storage density, good safety and low cost, and it has attracted extensive attention in the field of hydrogen storage and transportation. Therefore, the progress of research on organic liquid hydrogen storage technology was reviewed from two aspects, i.e., the selection of hydrogen storage carrier and the dehydrogenation mechanism of "hydrogen oil". Then, the feasibility of transporting "hydrogen oil" by pipeline and its development status at home and abroad were discussed. Finally, the safety of pipeline transportation of organic liquid hydrogen storage was analyzed from three aspects, which are the material risk of H
2, the corrosion of "hydrogen oil" to the pipe wall, and the leakage hazard of "hydrogen oil". The future development of organic liquid hydrogen storage technology, especially the key problems to be solved for pipeline transportation of "hydrogen oil", was prospected, so as to provide a reference for the scaled development of the hydrogen energy industry.
