Current status and development suggestions of CCUS technology in China under the "Double Carbon" strategy

  • 摘要: 碳捕集、封存与利用(Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage,CCUS)是当前能够大规模降低工业CO2排放的有效方式。通过系统分析国内外CCUS关键环节的发展现状,发现燃烧后CO2捕集技术较成熟,燃烧前捕集技术分离系统较复杂,富氧燃烧技术制氧电耗大,三者要达到工业应用均需继续降低CO2捕集成本及能耗。中国在CO2管输工艺、管输安全及管输标准等方面已具备一定的技术实力,但缺乏工程验证和CO2管道技术系列标准;CO2封存项目规模较小,在回注方案、地面工艺系统及CO2泄漏监测等方面尚未到工业化推广要求;CO2在油气田开发、化工生产等领域的利用积累了丰富经验,但利用量较低,未来应从提高封存量和利用量两方面入手,降低CO2封存成本。研究结果可为CCUS工程示范和商业化发展提供参考。

     

    Abstract: Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) is an effective way to reduce industrial CO2 emission on large scale at present. The development status of key links of CCUS at home and abroad was analyzed systematically. Currently, the post-combustion CO2 capture technology is relatively mature, the separation system of pre-combustion capture technology is complex, and the oxygen-enriched combustion technology with a high power consumption for producing oxygen, but it is required to reduce the cost of CO2 capture and energy consumption for industrial applications. Although the technical strength has been achieved in China in terms of technology, safety and standard for CO2 pipeline transportation, no project verification has been performed and no technical standards of CO2 pipeline are available. In addition, the domestic CO2 storage projects are relatively small in scale, and the requirements for industrial promotion in terms of reinjection scheme, ground process system and CO2 leakage monitoring are not satisfied. Rich experience has been cumulated from the low CO2 utilization in the development of oil and gas fields, chemical production and other areas. So, CO2 storage cost should be reduced by improving the storage and utilization in the future. The research results can provide reference to the project demonstration and commercialized development of CCUS.
