全焊接球阀焊接残余应力及变形数值模拟

Numerical simulation on welding residual stress and deformation of all-welded ball valves

  • 摘要: 焊接残余应力特性对球阀安全运行及结构改进具有重要意义。基于有限元软件ABAQUS,以T形接头焊、平板对接焊、圆管对接焊3种模型为例,模拟了全焊接球阀的温度场、应力场、位移场。结果表明:非生死单元法相较于生死单元法的计算误差高约10%,但耗时缩短41%~57%;球阀焊接残余应力集中分布于焊缝与母材的结合位置,焊缝影响区外表面的环向及轴向残余应力均为拉应力,沿焊缝深度方向逐渐向内过渡为压应力;环向残余应力沿焊接方向有累积效果,最大压应力出现在焊缝终点,轴向应力集中分布在球阀中体的焊缝影响区。受环向和轴向应力的共同作用,球阀右体和中体均朝焊缝区域发生收缩,其中球阀右体变形明显,但不会对球阀启闭运动及密封性造成明显影响。

     

    Abstract: The characteristics of welding residual stresses are of great significance for the safe operation and the structural improvement of all-welded ball valves. Based on the finite element software ABAQUS, the temperature field, stress field and displacement field of the full-welded ball valves have been simulated with the three typical models of the T-joint welding, plate butt welding and pipe butt welding as the examples. The results show that the calculation error of the nonlife-and-death element method is about 10% higher than that of the life-and-death element method, but the calculation time is shortened by 41% to 57%. The welding residual stresses of the ball valves are concentrated at the joint position of the welds and the base material. The circumferential and the axial residual stresses on the outer surface of the weld affected areas of the ball valves are tensile, which gradually transit to be compressive along the depth direction of the welds to the inner surface. In addition, the circumferential residual stresses accumulate along the welding direction, and the maximum compressive stresses generally occur at the end of the welds while the axial stresses are concentrated in the affected area of the intermediate body in the ball valves. Under a combined action of the circumferential and axial stresses, both of the right body and the intermediate body of the ball valves shrink towards the weld areas, and the right body of the ball valves deforms obviously, without obvious impact on the opening and closing movement, as well as the sealing performance of the ball valves.
