Abstract:
In this paper, a set of 64-channel piezoelectric ultrasonic based corrosion detection prototype suitable for long-distance high-pressure liquid pipelines (e.g. oil and water) was developed based on the piezoelectric ultrasonic based pipeline corrosion detection technology. Then, static and dynamic testing was carried out on the prototype. It is indicated that the electronic system, mechanical carrier, sensor support structure, mileage information acquisition unit and the tracing & positioning system composed of ultra low frequency transmitting & receiving units meet the design specifications and performance requirements and it can obtain good-quality test data. The development of 64-channel piezoelectric ultrasonic based pipeline corrosion detection technology and the success of its prototype, tests play the impelling role in improving the research and development capacity of piezoelectric ultrasonic based pipeline corrosion detection technology and promoting the diversification of pipeline detection technologies in China.
