Abstract:
At present, one of the main methods to optimize operation parameters and evaluate the safety of salt cavern gas storage is to establish a geomechanical model of salt cavern gas storage based on the geological characteristics, physical property parameters and operation parameters of the target formation so as to investigate response laws of the rocks around the salt cavern. In this paper, the research progress of geomechanical evaluation systems used for salt cavern gas storage at home and abroad was reviewed from aspects of the obtainment of rock mechanical parameters, the establishment of geomechanical model and the stability evaluation index system. Then, their application effects were verified based on the actual situations of Jintan salt cavern gas storage.Besides, the geomechanical evaluation systems of salt cavern gas storage were prospected based on the technical difficulties encountered in the late development stage of Jintan gas storage.
