A new method for installing risers on offshore platforms

  • 摘要: 海上立管安装技术经过多年实践已经成熟, 但是大部分作业仍依赖于大型的海上起重施工船来完成。以南海某工程项目为依托, 在传统立管安装技术的基础上, 提出一种单独使用小型饱和潜水支持船进行立管安装的新方法, 叙述了双吊机扶正立管安装施工方案, 并且利用Orca Flex软件对立管安装过程进行了动态模拟分析, 为施工方案的设计提供了有效的校核依据。新方法的使用减少了作业船舶的数量, 有效降低了作业成本, 提升了作业效率, 对海上油气田开发具有重要意义。

     

    Abstract: After years' practice, offshore riser installation has been a proven technology, but most of the operations still rely on large-scale offshore crane vessels. In this paper, one engineering project in the South China Sea was taken as an example to propose a new riser installation method on the basis of traditional riser installation technologies. In this new method, a small-size saturation diving support vessel is used to install risers. Then, the construction plan of dual-crane uprighting riser installation was introduced in details. Finally, dynamic simulation and analysis was conducted on the riser installation process by using the software Orca Flex so as to provide the effective check basis for the design of construction plan. The application of this new method decreases the quantity of operation vessels, reduces the operation cost effectively and improves the operation efficiency. The research results is of great significance to the development of oil and gas fields.
