Abstract:
A pattern of multiple gas sources in which LNG and pipeline gas coexist emerges gradually in many cities as LNG market develops rapidly in China recently. LNG is quite different from pipeline gas in terms of composition, transportation mode and combustion performance. Due to these differences, the performance of cookers has to be changed and a series of problems related with interchangeability arise. In order to ensure that the terminal equipments of gas pipeline network can utilize the gas normally, safely and economically, the pipeline gas of the Second Shaanxi-Beijing Gas Pipeline was blended with ethane to simulate LNG and performance testing experiments were conducted on the typical civil gas cookers in the area of Beijing under different blending ratios of LNG and pipeline gas. It is revealed that the optimal blending ratio of LNG is 80%, under which the combustion performances of all cookers are good, LNG and pipeline gas can be interchanged smoothly and the possible high cost conversion can be avoided.
