Abstract:
There are various pipeline systems and data collection is out of step with data application. By virtue of intelligent pipeline network, these problems can be solved to maintain safe, efficient and sustainable development of oil and gas pipelines. In this paper, the implementation progress of digitized pipelines and intelligent pipeline networks all over the world was reviewed. The characteristics, difficulties and problems involved in the development of the intelligent pipeline networks were analyzed. The full-life-cycle pipeline data standard was established and the full-life-cycle pipeline database was created. The design framework of full-life-cycle intelligent pipeline network was put forward, including asset and facility management, operation management & control, and decision support. The GIS-based intelligent management platform scheme was proposed. Integrated intelligent management platform of pipeline construction, operation and maintenance was built up. It can be used for three aspects. First, it is used for data acquisition, digitized database transfer and visual management of construction quality in the construction period. Second, it is employed for integrity management, including potential control for corrosion prevention, online integrity assessment, risk assessment of high consequence areas, and upgraded areas and UAV pipeline patrol in the operation period. And third, it is applied to decision support of pipeline network, including big data modeling, emergency decision support, risk identification of welding big data, disaster monitoring and pre-warning based on the Internet of Things, real-time monitoring of pipeline leakage, training on remote equipment maintenance, visual inspection of remote faults and risks and mobile application. The popularization and application of intelligent pipeline network are conducive to the improvement of pipeline management, and can provide sufficient information for decision makers and ensure the safe and efficient operation of pipeline enterprises.
